Tir Phil-born player who started his career with Llanbradach before joining Cardiff in 1938.

Jack made one Football League appearance for the Bluebirds and then moved to Dundee United in April 1948.

He scored twice in 12 appearances for United before moving across the city to join Dundee in October 1948.

Jack made three appearances for Dundee without scoring before joining Dumbarton on loan later in the 48/49 campaign. He returned to Dundee without appearing in Dumbarton's senior side and spent the whole of the 49/50 season in the reserves before being freed in April 1950.

In June 1950 Jack signed for Swindon and he went on to make 16 Football League appearances for them during the 50/51 campaign.

After being released by Swindon he had a spell with Weymouth before moving to Dover.

Jack joined Margate from Dover in November 1952 and made his debut in a 5-2 win at Chatham on 22.11.52. On 29.11.52 he scored on his home debut as Margate drew 2-2 with Deal at Hartsdown Park. He went on to make 23 appearances before the end of the 52/53 campaign and scored seven times.

He left the club at the end of the season and joined Chatham but soon moved on to Sittingbourne.

Jack's real first name was Harold and he died in 1975.
